According to police on Sunday, August 16, 2026, an Indian Navy soldier, his spouse, and two young children were discovered dead in their official apartment in Navy Nagar, Colaba, Mumbai.
The bodies of the family of four were found on Saturday night (August 15, 2026), and the local police and naval officials have started an investigation into the tragedy. When the family did not answer calls, the Mumbai police and naval security men were alerted. The bodies were found after the quarters were checked again.
The police have recorded the case and started an investigation, according to a statement from the Indian Navy. A forensic team has inspected the official house, which has been shut.
A Navy representative stated, “We are providing all assistance to the civil police in their investigation.” The identities of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding the incident will be ascertained following the postmortem examination and the receipt of forensic findings, according to the police. Police are still stationed at the location, and further information is anticipated once the autopsy is over.
