Enhypen Addresses Heeseung’s Exit: Respecting His Path While….

K-pop boy group Enhypen has publicly shared its heartfelt response to the recent departure of member Heeseung, emphasizing support for his decision while acknowledging the emotional toll on their dedicated fanbase.
In a statement posted on their official social media accounts on March 11, the members expressed deep concern for their fans, known as ENGENE. They wrote that the announcement likely came as a shock and that their primary worry centered on how ENGENE would react. “Because Enhypen exists above all for ENGENE, witnessing our fans feeling anxious and in pain represents our greatest sorrow,” the group conveyed.
Reflecting on their shared history, Enhypen described the years spent together as indescribably valuable. Out of that appreciation, they affirmed their respect and encouragement for Heeseung’s personal choice and his fresh start ahead. Looking forward, the remaining members pledged to evolve into an even more resilient and assured version of Enhypen—one that remains deserving of their supporters’ unwavering loyalty, no matter the circumstances. They committed to carrying gratitude in every step of their journey.
The departure was formally announced the previous day by the group’s agency, BELIFT LAB, through the fan communication platform Weverse. The company explained that after careful deliberations on Enhypen’s future direction and objectives, extensive discussions took place regarding each member’s aspirations and the collective path. Those conversations revealed Heeseung’s distinct and firm musical vision, leading the agency to honor and support it. Consequently, Enhypen will proceed as a six-member group.

Heeseung, who has been part of the lineup since its formation through the survival show “I-LAND” and official debut in November 2020, also issued a personal handwritten letter to fans. In it, he detailed long-term consultations with the company and others about how best to share his creative work. After prolonged reflection, he chose to align with the direction proposed by the agency to return to ENGENE in an improved form. He acknowledged his ongoing solo efforts and the time invested in them, driven by a desire to present more to fans, yet stressed he never wished to prioritize his individual goals over the group’s unity.
Last year, Enhypen marked a major milestone with their second full-length album “ROMANCE: UNTOLD,” achieving triple million-seller status by surpassing 3 million copies sold.
