New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake a four-day visit to Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic from August 29 to September 1, during which he will hold bilateral talks with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and participate in the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Bishkek.
PM Modi will first travel to Uzbekistan on August 29-30 for a State Visit at the invitation of President Mirziyoyev. This will mark his fourth visit to Uzbekistan.
During his stay in Tashkent, PM Modi will hold delegation-level talks with President Mirziyoyev aimed at further strengthening the strategic partnership between India and Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the two leaders will review cooperation in trade and investment, defence, digital connectivity, energy, education and people-to-people domains, and set the agenda for the road ahead. They are also expected to share perspectives on advancing the shared developmental visions of Viksit Bharat 2047 and Uzbekistan-2030.
As part of his Uzbekistan visit, PM Modi is also expected to visit the Shastri Memorial in Tashkent and the Mahatma Gandhi Centre at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
PM Modi to Attend 26th SCO Summit in Bishkek
From Tashkent, PM Modi will travel to Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, at the invitation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov, to attend the 26th SCO Summit from August 31 to September 1.

According to the MEA, the Summit marks the 25th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, of which India has been a full member since 2017. PM Modi will address the Summit, where he is expected to highlight India’s priorities of Security, Connectivity and Opportunity at the forum.
The Prime Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with SCO leaders on the sidelines of the Summit.
PM to Attend World Nomad Games Opening Ceremony
During his stay in Kyrgyzstan, PM Modi will also attend the Opening Ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games.
The event will showcase the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Central Asia and provide an additional platform for cultural and people-to-people engagement.
