Stylist Calls Tanya Mittal Over Unpaid Bills and Unreturned Designer Wear

Stylist Riddhima Sharma has publicly confronted Bigg Boss 19 contestant Tanya Mittal, alleging that she has failed to pay outstanding fees and has not returned loaned garments following the show’s conclusion.

In the wake of the Bigg Boss 19 grand finale on December 7, where Tanya Mittal donned a striking saree, the spiritual influencer and third runner-up has faced backlash from her own stylist. Riddhima Sharma detailed her grievances in a lengthy Instagram post on Wednesday, describing instances of mistreatment by Tanya’s team and a lack of appreciation for the high-end attire provided.

The post, accompanied by a video clip of Tanya fielding questions about her saree choices, highlighted Sharma’s unwavering support for Mittal during the competition. “I have always supported Tanya in every interview—you can check all my interviews, the bytes I recorded, the celebrity voting videos, the supporting videos… even in her own interview, I was supporting her. Mere s hi kapde source krwake hume hi attitude (They got us to source clothes for them, and now they are showing attitude to us),” Sharma expressed, underscoring her sense of betrayal.

She drew a sharp distinction between designers and stylists, emphasizing her role in curating premium outfits. “And let me make one thing very clear: there is a big difference between a designer and a stylist. I am the stylist. For one whole week, every saree and lehenga was sent by me, and they were all expensive. You can check the brands yourselves. Till now, nothing has been returned. They loved the clothes, but not even once did they appreciate it. And now she is making faces and talking about tailors and designers? What an attitude. Big claps. Is this what respect looks like?” Sharma questioned.

Further detailing the ordeal, Sharma recounted last-minute demands that strained her resources. Her team had been instructed to procure an outfit under duress: “If today’s saree doesn’t arrive, the payment won’t be made.” Despite being out of town, Sharma managed to deliver within an hour for a 1:30 p.m. appointment at Siddhi Vinayak, even covering delivery costs herself. “What is this behaviour? … At least have some respect for stylists, tailors, and designers. In Bigg Boss, the payment for one week is 50k. All the outfits I sent were expensive—yesterday’s lehenga alone was 58k. And still, I’m charging very little,” she noted.

Reflecting on prior transactions, Sharma pointed to a swift 50,000-rupee payment for a week’s services after her initial refusal due to travel constraints. Yet, she pressed for clarity on other dues: “What about the last 2weekend war outfit? It was mine—where is that payment? For the Grand Finale, I styled her brother’s outfit—where is that payment? What about yesterday’s outfit payment? Where is it? I did my job on time, every single time. And this attitude clearly shows how she is. Well done Tanya and the whole team. May God bless you all. Thank you. I respect and salute all the Designers, Tailors as she mentioned and Stylist Lots of love.”

Tanya Mittal’s prominence surged through her Bigg Boss 19 participation, where she frequently showcased her affinity for sarees, boasting a collection of around 800 in the house. The reality TV exposure has paved the way for her next venture: an acting role under Ekta Kapoor, marking the start of her foray into on-screen performances.
