Fans Go Wild In Theatres As ‘Ramayana’ Trailer Drops – Ranbir Kapoor & Yash Steal The Show

The long-awaited trailer of Ramayana has set theatres across India ablaze with excitement. Released on Thursday by producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitesh Tiwari, the four-minute clip was quickly rolled out in cinemas nationwide, giving audiences a big-screen taste of the epic ahead of regular film shows.

Social media is now flooded with videos of fans erupting in cheers, whistles and applause as the trailer unfolds. The loudest reactions come when Yash appears in his menacing avatar as Ravana, followed by Ranbir Kapoor’s grand entry as Lord Rama. Many viewers expressed surprise and delight at Yash’s commanding screen presence, while Ranbir’s portrayal drew equal admiration.

The overwhelming theatre response follows the trailer’s global digital launch, where viewers praised the film’s visual effects, action sequences and the performances of the lead cast. Many noted that the makers have refined the CGI and colour grading after earlier criticism of the “Rama Glimpse.”

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayanad also features Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Kunal Kapoor as Indra and Arun Govil as King Dasharatha. The trailer dropped simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada, reflecting the film’s pan-Indian ambitions.

The mythological epic is planned as a two-part release. The first part is scheduled for a grand theatrical launch on Diwali 2026, with the sequel set for Diwali 2027.

With audiences already responding so passionately to just the trailer, expectations for Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious retelling of the ancient epic are soaring. Fans will now wait eagerly to see whether the full film can match the electric energy already filling cinema halls.
