
On the sets of filmmaker Kabir Khan’s next movie, actor Kartik Aaryan sustained a knee injury. After being taken to Fortis Raheja Hospital in Mahim, Mumbai, the 35-year-old actor had surgery. Following the 2024 sports drama Chandu Champion, the project brings the actor and director back together.
At the 72nd National Film Awards, Kartik Aaryan won Best Actor for his performance as Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar Chandu Champion. He and Mammootty, a Malayalam celebrity, shared the honor.
The actor posted his reaction on Instagram after his name was revealed for the National Award for Best Actor after receiving the esteemed honor.
“I’m still absorbing it. This is one of those moments that are just beyond words. I’ve had this dream for years, and it’s finally come true. Forever thankful and humbled. He wrote, “Best Actor National Award #ChanduChampion.” Following his National Award victory, the actor and his parents visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain. The Pyaar Ka Punchnama series, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 are among Kartik Aaryan’s acting credits.
Filming for Captain India, which would be helmed by Shimit Amin of Chak De! India fame, was scheduled to begin with Kartik Aaryan. Parvathy Thiruvothu will also be in the movie.
