Jungkook’s ‘GOLDEN’ Surpasses 6.8 Billion Spotify Streams

BTS member Jungkook has once again demonstrated the enduring global appeal of his solo work, as his debut album “GOLDEN” has now amassed 6.8 billion streams on Spotify (pre-filtering).
Released in November 2023, “GOLDEN” reached the impressive streaming total in the shortest time frame ever recorded for a full-length album by an Asian artist. It stands as the first and only such album from an Asian soloist to achieve this feat on the platform.
Industry observers anticipate that “GOLDEN” will cross the 7 billion stream mark before the end of 2026, underscoring its sustained popularity more than two years after launch. The album was recently featured as the sole K-pop solo project on a prestigious list of the “Top 20 Albums with the Most Powerful Hit Songs of the 2020s,” securing the 20th position overall.
On Spotify’s ‘Weekly Top Album Global’ chart, “GOLDEN” has charted for an unprecedented 123 weeks—the longest run for any Asian solo artist’s album—highlighting its remarkable longevity. Lead single “Seven” has exceeded 2.8 billion streams, while “Standing Next to You” has reached 1.45 billion, “3D” has hit 1.12 billion, and “Yes or No” has accumulated 340 million. Multiple other tracks from the album continue to surpass 100 million streams each.

The album made a strong debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, remaining on the chart for 25 weeks as the first Asian solo release to do so. It also spent eight weeks on the UK’s Official Top 100 Albums chart, marking another first for a K-pop soloist. According to Jungkook’s official Spotify artist credits, his overall streaming total has now surpassed 10.5 billion, another groundbreaking achievement for both an Asian artist and a K-pop solo performer.
These figures cement “GOLDEN” as one of the most successful solo albums in K-pop history, continuing to break barriers and captivate audiences worldwide long after its initial release.
