Following their discharge from mandatory military service, the seven-member K-pop group has sparked widespread excitement on social media with successive announcements about their return. The band delighted fans by disclosing the title and tracklist of their forthcoming album, offering insights into its deep cultural significance.
BTS Fifth Studio Album Details: Title, Meaning and Complete Tracklist
BTS unveiled the title of their fifth studio album, Arirang, set for release on March 20 at 12:00 am on the global platform Weverse today, January 16. The new album comprises 14 tracks and draws attention by incorporating Arirang, a representative Korean folk song.
According to The Chosun, Arirang is a title infused with the group’s identity that began in Korea and reflects the deep longing and love that occupy their hearts in their music. The new album reportedly explores universal emotions of longing and profound love expected to resonate widely with audiences worldwide. The forthcoming release will feature 14 tracks.

Arirang appears twice on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list, first submitted by South Korea in 2012 and subsequently by North Korea in 2014. In 2015, the South Korean Cultural Heritage Administration included the song on its list of important intangible cultural assets. The song is performed today in both North and South Korea and serves as a symbol of unity between the two nations divided by the Korean War.
BTS World Tour Schedule and Return to Live Performances
The band’s upcoming concert tour is scheduled to commence on April 9, 2026, in Goyang and will conclude on March 14, 2027. This marks their return to live performances following mandatory South Korean military service, covering 79 dates across 34 cities in 23 countries. BTS, also known as Bangtan Sonyeondan or Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boy band formed in 2010.
The group consists of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, who co-write and produce their songs. Originally termed as a hip-hop group, they have expanded their base to various topics, troubles during school days, mental health, self-love, and work in literature and philosophy.
