Accra: In a vibrant display of cultural appreciation, several Ghanaian parliamentarians donned traditional Indian attire during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic address to Ghana’s Parliament on Thursday. The gesture, which included outfits like sherwanis and bandhgalas, symbolized the deepening ties between India and Ghana during Modi’s first visit to the African nation in over three decades.
The warm reception began as Modi arrived in Accra, greeted by enthusiastic chants of “Hare Rama Hare Krishna” from the local community.
