That is exactly what is happening in the Flintoff family in England. Former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff’s 18-year-old son Rocky Flintoff is currently making a big impact on the cricket field.
The Royal London One-Day Cup is currently being played in England, and on Tuesday Lancashire (6/443 in 50 overs) defeated Somerset (269 all out in 39.2 overs) by 174 runs.
Lancashire opener Keaton Jennings provided a strong foundation for the victory, scoring 156 runs off 127 balls with seven sixes and 15 fours. However, star son Rocky Flintoff produced an even more explosive performance.
Rocky Flintoff smashed 123 runs off just 76 balls, hitting seven sixes and 10 fours. He completed his century in only 65 balls. Playing in a T20-style attacking mode in this ODI, Rocky launched a brutal assault on the Somerset bowlers. Opposition players and spectators were left stunned by his breathtaking hitting.
When he came in to bat at No. 5, more than 25 overs were still remaining, but Rocky went on the attack from the very beginning. In his 123-run innings, he struck seven sixes and 10 fours, producing an astonishing strike rate of 161.84 runs per 100 balls.

Andrew Flintoff’s Impressive England Career
It is worth mentioning that pace-bowling all-rounder Andrew Flintoff scored 3,845 runs and took 226 wickets in 79 Tests for England. In 141 ODIs, he scored 3,394 runs and claimed 169 wickets. He also played seven T20Is, scoring 76 runs and taking five wickets.
Flintoff played his final Test for England in 2009. After that, he tried his hand at boxing.
