According to a report by India TV, the celestial event will occur later in the year and is anticipated to be one of the major astronomical phenomena of 2026.

As reported, a solar eclipse takes place when the Moon moves between the Earth and the Sun, partially or fully blocking sunlight from reaching certain parts of the planet. The report explains that the second Surya Grahan of the year will occur on August 12, 2026.

The second solar eclipse of the year will be visible in Canada, Greenland, Iceland, the Arctic, Northern Spain, the northeastern region of Russia, countries in Northwest Africa, the Atlantic Ocean, France, Britain, most European countries, and Italy.

India TV noted that the eclipse will begin at different times across various regions depending on geographical location. However, visibility will vary from country to country, and reports suggest that the eclipse may not be visible in several parts of India.

The article further highlighted that solar eclipses hold religious and astrological importance for many people in India, leading to increased interest in the event’s timing and rituals. Experts generally advise people to avoid viewing a solar eclipse directly with the naked eye and to use proper protective equipment for safe observation.
