CM Fadnavis Inaugurated And Performed Foundation Stone Laying Of Development Works Worth ₹335 Crore In Yavatmal

Mumbai: To bring the tribal community into the mainstream of development, the Central Government has launched important schemes and allocated a fund of ₹1 lakh crore. In Maharashtra too, various initiatives are being implemented for housing, roads, electricity, water supply, hostels, and employment for the tribal community. Within the next three years, the lives of tribals will undergo a radical transformation, asserted Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis while addressing a public program in Yavatmal today.

On this occasion, CM Fadnavis inaugurated and performed the foundation stone laying of development works worth ₹335 crore in Yavatmal and launched several initiatives. Soil and Water Conservation Minister and District Guardian Minister Sanjay Rathod, Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Tribal Development Minister Ashok Uike, MP Sanjay Deshmukh, MLAs Raju Todsam and Kisanrao Wanakhede, Saitai Dahake, Sanjay Derkar, Shyam Kode, Tribal Development Department Secretary Vijay Waghmare, Divisional Commissioner Shweta Singhal, District Collector Vikas Meena and other dignitaries were present.

The Chief Minister said that 54,000 tribal families will be provided houses, tap water, medical facilities, and hostels. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives for tribal development are unprecedented in scale. Under the Adi Karmayogi Yojana, 366 villages in the district have been selected, and 30 lakh youth across the state will be trained, thereby promoting local leadership.

The government has also taken up a time-bound program to clear pending applications for compassionate appointments, under which 15,000 youths will be given employment. A 35 MW solar power project is operational, ensuring 12 hours of daytime electricity supply for agriculture. Plans are also in place to provide farmers with 10 hours of free power during the day.

In today’s program, CM Fadnavis inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development works worth ₹335 crore. This included works worth ₹51 crore under the Tribal Development Department, comprising five hostels and other projects; Public Works Department projects worth ₹67 crore; 11 solar power projects and related works worth ₹158 crore under the Chief Minister Solar Energy Feeder Scheme; and additional works of ₹59 crore by other departments.

The Chief Minister also launched several innovative initiatives by the district administration, including Mission Competitive Excellence, Road Maintenance Digital Platform, E-Mitra Chatbot, Mission Ubhari, Comprehensive Dashboard, Project Sand Map, Governance on Mobile, and CRF & WAR Room Dashboard. Through the E-Mitra Chatbot, citizens will now be able to access information about 34 schemes with just two clicks. The Ubhari App has already surveyed 770 farmer families affected by suicides in the last five years, and it will help provide benefits of various schemes to them. The District Dashboard will enable real-time monitoring of government schemes, ensuring faster implementation at the grassroots.

Under the Dhartibaba Tribal Village Upliftment Campaign, 25 schemes across 17 departments have been integrated to ensure holistic tribal development. Additionally, the Adi Karmayogi Campaign aims to build decentralized tribal leadership and model governance, covering 366 villages in the district. The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi and NaMo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Yojana are being effectively implemented in the district, benefiting nearly 2.94 lakh farmers.

On this occasion, 27 candidates were appointed on compassionate grounds, out of which four received appointment letters symbolically from the hands of the Chief Minister. Various departmental stalls were also set up to provide scheme-related information. A large gathering of citizens attended the program.
