Mumbai Local Update: Train Services To Be Disrupted On Central, Harbour and Western Line On Sunday

Mumbai: Mumbai’s suburban rail network will face significant disruption on Sunday, 12 April, 2026, due to a megablock on the Western, Central and Harbour Lines for essential maintenance.
Central Line-
There will be block on up and down lines between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Vidyavihar that will run from 10.55 am and 3.55 pm. Down slow services from CSMT between 10.48 am and 3.45 pm will be diverted to the down fast line, halting at Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion and Kurla before rejoining the slow line at Vidyavihar. Up slow services from Ghatkopar between 10.19 am and 3.52 pm will follow a similar pattern on the up fast line.

Harbour Line-
With Up and Down operations between CSMT and Bandra/ Chunabhatti services have been suspended from 11.10 am to 4.40 pm. Similarly down services to Vashi/Belapur/Panvel from CS,T (11.16 am and 4.47 pm) and to Bandra/ Goregaon (10.48 am and 4.43 pm) in addition to that, services from Panvel/Belapur/Vashi (9.53 am and 3.20 pm) and Goregaon/ bandra (10.45 am and 5.13 PM) shall remain cancelled.
There will be special trains running between Panvel and Kurla (Platform 8) and passengers may make use of Main line or Western Railway services from 10 am to 6 pm.
Western Line-
Western Railway (WR) announced a five hour jumbo block on Up and down fast lines between Santacruz and Goaregaon from 10 am to 3 pm for track, signalling, and overhead equipment maintenance. All fast trains will shift to slow lines with some suburban services cancelled and other short-terminated at Goregaon via Harbour Line from Borivali and Andheri.
No blocks are scheduled on Uran lines or Trans-Harbour Lines. Before heading towards travelling via Train routes commuters are advised to check station notices and plan accordingly, especially with weekend travel plans.
