‘Iran Will Be Hit Very Hard Today’: Trump Issues Stark Warning After Pezeshkian Apologises To Gulf Neighbours

US President Donald Trump on Saturday (March 7) declared that Iran would be “hit very hard” later in the day, hours after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a public apology to neighbouring Gulf states for attacks carried out against their territories during the ongoing war.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump attributed the Iranian president’s apology entirely to sustained American and Israeli military pressure. “Iran, which is being beaten to HELL, has apologised and surrendered to its Middle East neighbours, and promised that it will not shoot at them anymore. This promise was only made because of the relentless U.S. and Israeli attacks,” Trump wrote.

The US president went further, claiming a historic shift in regional power dynamics. “It is the first time that Iran has ever lost, in thousands of years, to surrounding Middle Eastern Countries,” he wrote, adding that Iran was no longer the “Bully of the Middle East” but rather “THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST,” and would remain so “for many decades until they surrender or, more likely, completely collapse.”

Trump also issued a direct threat, warning that areas and groups not previously considered for targeting were now under active review. “Today, Iran will be hit very hard! Under serious consideration for complete destruction and certain death, because of Iran’s bad behaviour, are areas and groups of people that were not considered for targeting until this moment in time,” he stated.

Pezeshkian Apologises, Rejects Surrender Demand

Earlier on Saturday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian speaking on the eighth day of the war involving Iran, the United States, and Israel addressed neighbouring countries directly in remarks broadcast on Iranian state television. “I must apologise on my own behalf and on behalf of Iran to the neighbouring countries that were attacked by Iran,” he said, while assuring that Tehran would not strike any neighbouring state unless attacks against Iran originated from their soil.

At the same time, Pezeshkian firmly rejected Trump’s earlier demand for Iran’s “unconditional surrender,” stating that Iran’s adversaries “must take their wish for the unconditional surrender of the Iranian people to their graves.”

The Iranian president reiterated that his country would refrain from targeting neighbouring nations during the conflict with Israel and the US, provided those countries were not used as launchpads for attacks against Iran.
