11-Year-Old Boy Murdered, Body Hidden in Drum in Madhya Pradesh

In a chilling incident, an 11-year-old boy was brutally killed at his home in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh, allegedly as an act of revenge after his mother repeatedly rejected a marriage proposal from the accused.

According to police, the victim, Shivraj Rajak—also known as Badal and a Class 5 student—was alone at home on Monday morning when the accused, identified as 45-year-old Mathura Rajak, entered the house around 10:30 am. Investigators alleged that he attacked the child with a sickle, slit his throat, and placed the body inside a blue plastic drum. He then covered it with clothes, locked the house, and fled the scene.

The crime came to light several hours later when the boy’s sister returned home and found the door locked. Unable to locate her brother and noticing unusual signs inside, the family alerted the police. Officers forced entry into the house and discovered the child’s body concealed in the drum, with the blood-stained weapon recovered nearby.

Family members told authorities that the accused had been pressuring the boy’s mother, Asha Rajak, to marry him for years. Despite her repeated refusals, he allegedly continued to harass and threaten the family. The victim’s sister stated that he had earlier warned that the child would “pay the price” for the rejection.

Police further revealed that a confrontation had taken place a day before the murder between the accused and the woman. Following the dispute, the woman’s employer reportedly warned the accused to stay away. Investigators believe the murder was carried out shortly after this altercation, when the child was left alone at home.

A forensic team examined the scene, and multiple police teams were deployed to trace the suspect, who had switched off his phone and locked his premises. He was arrested later and is currently in police custody. Officials said the primary motive being investigated is revenge linked to the rejected marriage proposal.

The boy’s father, who works as a labourer in Nashik, was away at the time of the incident. Authorities continue to probe all aspects of the case.
