IMD Warns of Heavy to Extremely Heavy Rain Across Gujarat Till July 27

Ahmedabad: The Meteorological Department has forecast that rainy conditions will continue across Gujarat until July 27, with heavy to extremely heavy rainfall expected in several districts of the state over the next 48 hours. An active monsoon system is likely to intensify rainfall in South and Central Gujarat.

Red Alert For Navsari-Valsad

The weather department has issued a red alert for Navsari and Valsad districts today, citing forecasts of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall. With the possibility of waterlogging in low-lying areas, rising river levels and flood-like conditions, local authorities have been instructed to remain on alert.

Orange Alert For Surat, Tapi And Dang

An orange alert has also been issued for Surat, Tapi and Dang districts due to the likelihood of heavy rainfall. With extremely heavy rain possible at some locations within these districts, residents have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and exercise caution.

Rain Likely In Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Too

The state capital Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad are also expected to receive significant rainfall today. With the possibility of waterlogging in low-lying urban areas and disruption to traffic, local authorities are on alert.

Yellow Alert For Kheda, Anand And Bharuch

A yellow alert has been issued for Kheda, Anand and Bharuch districts in view of the heavy rainfall forecast. Farmers and residents living in areas along riverbanks have been specifically advised to take precautions. The Meteorological Department has said rainy conditions are likely to continue across the state over the next two days.
