Yash Reveals How He And Geetu Mohandas Became Kiara Advani’s ‘Bouncers’ On Toxic Sets

Mumbai: Yash opens up about Kiara Advani’s dedication to Toxic, revealing how he and director Geetu Mohandas went into ‘protective mode’ while shooting some of the film’s tougher scenes.

Yash has shared an interesting behind the scenes story from the sets of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, revealing how he and director Geetu Mohandas ended up acting like Kiara Advani’s “bouncers and bodyguards” during the shoot.

Speaking about the experience, Yash said Kiara was completely committed to the film and never shied away from the challenges that came with her role. He recalled being particularly surprised when Kiara told him that she had never shot a rain sequence before. For an actor taking on a physically demanding scene, it could have been a difficult first, but Kiara reportedly jumped right in and gave it her all.

What made the experience even more memorable was that Kiara was pregnant during part of the production. Yash said that he and Geetu became extra careful around her, keeping an eye on her and making sure she was comfortable and safe while working.

The actor spoke warmly about Kiara’s attitude towards the film, calling her a true professional. According to Yash, she never treated the demanding nature of the shoot as a reason to step back. Instead, she remained fully involved in the process.

The story gives fans a glimpse into what went on behind the scenes of a film that has been in the making for several years. Toxic has generated considerable attention because of its unusual visual world, high energy action and Yash’s return after the success of KGF: Chapter 2.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film features Yash in the lead, with Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth in important roles. Yash plays a dual role in the film, which has been made in Kannada and English.

Kiara has also spoken positively about her experience on Toxic. While promoting the film, she said the project could mark a major change in how audiences see her as an actor, describing it as a possible “before and after” moment in her career.

With the film’s trailer already out and promotions gathering pace, attention is now firmly on its theatrical release. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide on August 26, 2026.

For Yash, however, the memories of the shoot seem to be about more than just action and spectacle. His story about becoming Kiara’s unofficial “bouncer” with Geetu offers a lighter look at the teamwork and care that went into making the film.
