2 Snakes Rescued From SRK’s Mannat

On the evening of August 17, a group of snake rescuers and forest officials conducted a search after discovering two snakes entangled under a shed in the garden area of Shah Rukh Khan’s Mumbai home, Mannat.

Around 8 p.m., Vicky Dubey, a snake rescuer, was called to the Bandra West bungalow after the reptiles were discovered. He then reported the issue to the Mumbai Range Office controller in Thane as well as Deepak Dada Gaikwad, the Forest Department Round Officer.

One of the snakes, which was around eight feet long, was successfully captured by Dubey. The reptile was determined to be an Indian Rat Snake, or Dhaman, a non-venomous species that is not dangerous to people.

However, when onlookers gathered around the spot, the second snake was able to get away. Mannat’s security staff and family members were alarmed by its absence, which prompted a late-night search of the property. The second reptile was not found in spite of the efforts.

Dubey urged everyone in attendance to remain calm and reassured them that the rescued snake was not dangerous.

The captured Dhaman was then safely returned to its original environment in accordance with Forest Department procedures.
