Yami Gautam And Aditya Dhar Reportedly Make Himachal Pradesh Their Permanent Home

Filmmaker Aditya Dhar and actress Yami Gautam are reportedly shifting their permanent base from Mumbai to Himachal Pradesh, according to recent media reports. The couple, known for maintaining a low profile, is said to be seeking a quieter life away from the constant public attention of the film industry capital.

The move comes after the success of Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar films. Yami has long-standing roots in Himachal Pradesh. Before their marriage, she purchased a 100 year old heritage home on a 25-acre property in Gohar, Mandi. Built with traditional wood and stone, the estate is surrounded by organic gardens where the couple grows apples, potatoes, plums and ginger. The property holds special significance as the couple got married there in a private ceremony in June 2021.

Sources indicate that while the couple has made Himachal their primary home, they will continue travelling to Mumbai regularly for professional commitments, shoots and meetings. Until now, they had been living in a spacious rented apartment in Khar West, Mumbai. Aditya had even jokingly referred to their address on “Chitrakar Dhurandhar Marg” during promotional events for his film.

The couple, who welcomed their son Vedavid in 2024, has always prioritised privacy. Yami rarely shares personal details and keeps her child’s face away from the public eye. Their decision reflects a growing preference among some celebrities for a balanced lifestyle that combines career demands with family time in a peaceful setting.

Neither Yami nor Aditya has issued an official confirmation regarding the permanent shift. However, the reports highlight their clear inclination towards a simpler, more private existence in the mountains while remaining active in the film industry.
