Tiger Shroff Firing Case: What He Told Eknath Shinde

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has reportedly told Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde that he does not know why he was targeted in a firing incident in Mumbai’s Juhu area, as police intensify their search for the assailants and investigate an alleged link to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Shinde visited Shroff at his residence following the shooting on Sunday evening, October 18. The actor was reportedly shaken by the incident and sustained minor injuries from gunpowder and fragments of shattered glass. His driver and another person were also injured in the firing, according to media reports. Both were reported to be stable.

According to sources cited in media coverage, Shroff told Shinde that he had no idea why anyone would target him. The actor reportedly indicated that he had no connection with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang or Salman Khan. The circumstances behind the attack, however, remain under investigation.

Gunmen Open Fire in Juhu

The incident took place around 7 pm near Pushpa Narsee Park, also known as Jamnabai Nursery, in Juhu. Shroff was reportedly leaving the venue after playing football when three motorcycle borne assailants opened fire at the vehicle carrying him.

The attackers fled shortly after the shooting. Shroff escaped without any reported gunshot wounds, although flying glass and gunpowder reportedly caused minor injuries. His driver, identified in media reports as Firdosh, suffered a gunshot wound to his left hand. A bystander was also injured.

Mumbai Police have registered a case against unidentified suspects and launched an extensive investigation. According to reports, 15 teams have been formed to trace the accused, while investigators are examining evidence from the scene and pursuing leads.

Bishnoi Gang Claim Under Scrutiny

The incident took a wider turn after individuals claiming links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang reportedly claimed responsibility on social media. The messages also allegedly contained threats directed at Salman Khan and people associated with him.

Police have not yet independently established the authenticity of the claims or conclusively confirmed the gang’s involvement. Investigators are examining the alleged links alongside other possible motives.

Shinde Assures Action, Security Review Follows

Following his meeting with Shroff, Shinde condemned the attack and assured the actor and his family that the state government would take the matter seriously. He also spoke with senior police officials regarding the investigation and security arrangements.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has likewise assured action, stating that the accused would be tracked down. The investigation remains ongoing, with police working to identify the shooters, establish the motive and determine whether the alleged gang connection is genuine.

For now, the central question remains unanswered who ordered the attack, and why was Tiger Shroff targeted?
