Tiger Shroff Shooting: Did A Jammed Gun Save His Life?

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff narrowly escaped a potentially fatal shooting in Mumbai’s Juhu area after armed men opened fire at his BMW on Sunday evening. Newly surfaced CCTV footage shows one of the attackers apparently struggling to fire his weapon again when he approached the car window at close range. Shroff escaped without any reported gunshot injury, while his driver and a bystander were injured in the incident. Police have launched an extensive investigation, with a purported Lawrence Bishnoi gang claim adding a disturbing angle to the case.

CCTV Footage Captures Chilling Moments

The attack reportedly took place around 7 pm as Shroff was leaving a football ground in Juhu. According to reports, three men arrived on a motorcycle, with two allegedly opening fire at the actor’s BMW while the third waited to facilitate their escape.

Multiple video clips show the assailants firing towards the vehicle’s windshield and side window. At least four shots were reported in initial accounts, while subsequent reports described additional rounds. In one particularly alarming sequence, a shooter appears unable to fire another round as he stands close to the car. The weapon seemingly jams, although the exact circumstances remain subject to investigation.

The footage also shows the driver, identified as Firdaus, getting out after being injured. Shroff is subsequently seen moving from the passenger seat to the driver’s position and driving away from the scene. Reports said another man nearby also sustained a gunshot injury.

Alleged Bishnoi Gang Connection Raises Questions

The investigation took a significant turn after an audio message circulated online in which a man identifying himself as Anil Pandit claimed responsibility on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The message allegedly named Shroff as a target because of his association with actor Salman Khan and warned others in the film industry against working with Khan.

However, the authenticity of the message and the alleged gang’s involvement have not been independently established. Investigators will need to determine who carried out the attack, whether the message is genuine and what motivated the shooting.

Police Intensify Search for Attackers

Mumbai Police have deployed multiple teams to examine CCTV footage, trace the suspects movements and establish their escape route. Reports on Monday indicated that one person had been detained for questioning, while investigators continued efforts to identify those directly involved.

The incident has renewed concerns over the safety of prominent personalities in Mumbai, particularly amid previous threats and attacks involving members of the film industry.

For now, the central questions remain unanswered: who ordered the shooting, why was Shroff targeted, and would the outcome have been different if the weapon had fired? The investigation is expected to establish the facts behind an attack that has sent fresh shockwaves through Bollywood.
