Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi are collaborating once more, and this time they are reviving a beloved role from the actor’s action movie Ghatak from 1996. The director has announced that Ghatak Ghus Ke Maarega will be the name of their upcoming project.
However, Santoshi has stated unequivocally that the next movie is not a follow-up to Ghatak. Rather, Sunny will reappear in the new plot as the same character from the cult action drama, but in a different context.
“Sunny and I will shortly formally declare that we are collaborating on a few stories. There is a lot of action in the movie. Ghatak Ghus Ke Maarega is the name of it. It’s not a follow-up.” In an interview with PTI, Rajkumar Santoshi stated, “But it is the same character, like the character is from Banaras.”
Following their most recent film, Batwara 1947, the actor and director are working together again on this new project. After over thirty years, the two had reunited for the Partition drama. Ghayal, Damini, and Ghatak were among their previous partners.
Rajkumar Santoshi is now promising an action-packed movie that preserves the character’s emotional aspect. “The action, strong conversation, and emotion in this new movie will make Sunny fans delighted. In addition to this movie, Sunny is working on two or three more stories. For example, Sunny plays a sardar in America in one action-drama film”, according to the director.
