Madhuri Dixit’s Black Comedy Shines Bright In Its Promo, OTT Platform Announces Its Release Date
After the commercial success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Madhuri Dixit is set to make a notable return in the Suresh Triveni-led film ‘Maa Behen’. Today, on the 59th birthday of the film’s lead (Madhuri Dixit), OTT platform released a date announcement promo of the film, which is set to premiere on 4th June 2026 on OTT platform. Along with Madhuri, this film stars Tripti Dimri, Dharna Durga, and Ravi Kishan, supported by Arunoday Singh, Shardul Bhardwaj, and Geetanjali Kulkarni in the lead roles.
Maa Behen is a story of three women belonging to the world of a farcical Indian household. One day, discovering a dead body in their kitchen, the mother and two daughters team up to cover the crime, leading to ridiculous situations. With its witty writing, even the names of the primary characters (Rekha, Jaya, Sushma) are laughably clever. A black comedy at its heart, the film seems to comment on society as well, portraying several women’s perspectives. An Abundantia Entertainment Production in association with Opening Image Films and directed by Suresh Triveni, who has created films such as Tumhari Sulu and Jalsa, is reaching the audience in less than a month on 4th June.
Before this, Madhuri Dixit’s collaboration with OTT platform in the series ‘The Fame Game’ led to decent viewership, and it was a new discovery for the viewers to watch Madhuri in a bold and unconventional role. Similarly, Maa Behen also appears to be a gutsy step for Madhuri Dixit, bringing an uncommon role to life. Apart from her, Tripti Dimri’s comical presence catches the attention, and Dharna Durga’s youthful energy clearly marks a distinct presence in the promos of the film.

The much-awaited film is releasing on 4th June 2026 on OTT platform- Netflix.
