Mumbai: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan married Gauri Spratt in an intimate ceremony held at his Pali Hill residence in Bandra, Mumbai on Sunday. The couple oted for a simple registered marriage under the Special Marriage Act, followed by a private celebration attended by family members, close friends and a select group of guests.
The wedding was dileberately kept low key, with around 100 to 150 guests invited. Ahead of the ceremony, Aamir had said that he and Gauri wanted to keep the occasion very basic and sought only the blessings of their loved ones.
Who Attended the Wedding?
Among those present were Aamir Khan’s children Junaid Khan, Ira Khan and Azad Rao Khan, along with Gauri Spratt’s son. Family members from both sides attended the ceremony, wich was centred on close relatives rather than a large celebrity gathering.
Several well known personalities from the film industry and beyond were also spotted at the wedding, including filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, comedian Vir Das, actress Elli AvrRam, Maharashtra politician Raj Thackeray, cricketer Irfan Pathan, and members of the Ambani family, including Mukesh Ambani. Reports indicate that the guest list remained limited despite the presence of a few high profile invitees.
A Simple Ceremony at Home
The wedding took place at Aamir Khan’s decorated Pali Hill residence, where floral arrangements and elegant decor were put in place for the occasion. Instead of a lavish celebration or destination wedding, the couple chose a home ceremony followed by a private lunch for guests. No grand reception has been planned.
This marks Aamir Khan’s third marriage. The actor was previously married to Reena Dutta and later to filmmaker Kiran Rao. Both former spouses have remained on cordial terms with him over the years.
The ceremony concluded with close family and invited guests blessing the newlyweds, making it one of Bollywood’s most talked about private weddings of the year.
