The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued a strong advisory to all Indian Premier League (IPL) stakeholders, warning them about a businessman from Hyderabad suspected of attempting to influence individuals connected to the league. According to a report by Cricbuzz, the Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) suspects the individual of having ties with betting syndicates and of trying to establish relationships with players, franchise members, and support staff.

The businessman has allegedly been approaching individuals with expensive gifts in a bid to gain their trust. As per the report, he has even tried to contact family members of players, franchise owners, coaches, support staff, and commentators as part of his strategy.
In a separate development ahead of IPL 2025, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fast bowler Mayank Yadav has rejoined the squad and is expected to play against Rajasthan Royals in their upcoming fixture in Jaipur on Saturday, as per ESPNcricinfo.

The 22-year-old pacer, who had been sidelined with a back injury since October 2024 after making his T20I debut against Bangladesh, received a warm welcome at the team hotel. A video shared by LSG on social media showed Yadav being greeted by hotel staff and signing autographs.
Yadav underwent rehabilitation at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru and missed the domestic season. LSG head coach Justin Langer had earlier confirmed that the bowler was close to full fitness after observing footage of his practice sessions, where he bowled at “90 to 95 per cent” intensity.
