The incident is of the Chandreshnagar area. On Friday (July 18) night at around 9 PM, 2 unidentified individuals arrived at the paan shop named Momai Delux on a motorcycle. They had a blue-colored bag in which there were bottles of soda. The miscreants hurled 8 soda bottles at the shop in just 29 seconds, causing damage outside and inside the shop. After which, they threatened to kill the shop owner and fled from the spot.

It is noteworthy that this is the third incident of attack on a trader in a single week. Prior to this, in the Railnagar area of Rajkot, a trader was attacked with a sword over money issues. Likewise, some anti-social elements had vandalized the Foji Restaurant in the Nehrunagar area.
Such incidents have created an atmosphere of fear and apprehension among the traders of Rajkot, as cases of menace are rising day by day. This calls for immediate police action including stringent measures, so that the terror of anti-social elements is curbed.
