Bollywood couple Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra are among the first to take up the viral trend. Imagining themselves as the hero and heroine of the 80s, the Shershaah pair shared their vintage picture on social media and introduced fans to a retro portrait of themselves.
In the picture, Malhotra wears a classic double-denim look with dark aviator sunglasses. Kiara appears in a vibrant pink dress with puff sleeves, oversized hoop earrings and bangles.

Kajal Aggarwal also joined the trend and posted an Instagram story that shows her with retro photography elements. She is shown in a retro denim outfit with big hoops and bangles. Her hair is styled in voluminous, soft retro curls that create classic big-hair drama. The makeup follows the era’s signature look, with dramatic winged eyeliner, sharply defined brows and nude lips.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal also went viral after sharing an AI-generated retro photo of himself styled like a 1980s Bollywood hero. Goyal appears in a sharp blue suit, an open-collared shirt and sunglasses. He captioned the post, “Vibing to the 80s trend.”
