Mumbai: Television actor Avinash Mishra has emerged as the winner of Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, defeating Rithvik Dhanjani and Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, in a high stakes grand finale that tested speed, stamina and nerve. Mishra walked away with the coveted trophy, rs 20 lakh in prize money, a Maruti Suzuki Swift and a trip to Europe. The top three finalists were also awarded bikes.
The finale, aired on October 4, brought the latest edition of Rohit Shetty’s stunt based reality show to a dramatic close. Mishra secured the title after completing the decisive stunt faster than his two remaining competitors. The challenge featured a helicopter jump, a jet-ski sequence and a swimming segment, ending with an explosive finish.
The final three had reached that stage after a broader finale battle involving Farrhana Bhatt, Karan Wahi, Orry, Rithvik and Mishra. Wahi and Farrhana were eliminated before the final showdown, leaving the three finalists to fight for the season’s biggest prize.
Mishra’s victory was hardly a surprise by the end of the competition. The actor established himself as one of the season’s more dependable performers and reportedly did not abort a stunt during his journey. He also won the Swift Immunity Jacket, giving him an important advantage during the competition.
This season, filmed in Cape Town, returned after a break and carried the theme “Darr Ka Naya Daur.” The format brought together returning contestants and newer challengers, with participants facing stunts involving heights, water, machinery and endurance.
For Mishra, however, the trophy represented more than another reality show victory. After years in television and a previous appearance on Bigg Boss 18, he described the win as his first major trophy, making the achievement especially significant in his decade long career.
With the finale now behind him, Mishra’s journey from television actor to Khatron Ke Khiladi champion marks a striking new chapter in his career and proves that this season, he was ready to face the fear head on.
