
Ahmedabad : Panic gripped residents after a leopard strayed into the Bopal-Ghuma residential area of Ahmedabad. The wild animal was spotted inside Sharandeep Society on Ghuma VIP Road, triggering fear among locals.
On Sunday night (July 19), two people passing through the area suddenly spotted the leopard. Shocked by the sight of the wild animal near the residential society, they immediately alerted their family members and other residents, urging them to remain cautious.
As a precautionary measure, residents checked the society’s CCTV footage, which clearly captured the leopard moving around within the residential premises. After confirming the animal’s presence, society members promptly informed the Forest Department.

A Forest Department team rushed to the spot soon after receiving the alert. Officials are currently analysing the CCTV footage and tracking the leopard’s footprints to determine the direction in which it moved. To prevent the animal from entering other residential neighbourhoods or attacking anyone, the Forest Department has launched an intensive search operation in the surrounding areas.
