Several Young Leaders In Congress Party Are Very Talented But Do Not Get Opportunity To Speak Due To Family Insecurity : PM Modi Tells NDA

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi told NDA leaders during a tea meeting that several young leaders in the opposition, particularly in the Congress, are very talented but do not get an opportunity to speak because of family insecurity. PM Modi, they said, described the recently concluded Parliament session as a good one because important bills were passed.

He specifically praised the passage of the Online Games Bill, calling it legislation with far-reaching impact that deserved wider discussion. He singled out the Online Gaming Bill, calling it a reform with “far-reaching impact” that will directly affect the public. Parliament on August 20 passed the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, which introduces strict rules and penalties for online money gaming companies, their promoters, and even individuals involved in violations.

The All India Gaming Federation (AIGF) has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, seeking urgent intervention on the proposed Online Gaming Bill, warning that a blanket prohibition could inflict severe damage on the sector. PM Modi also criticised the opposition for disrupting proceedings instead of engaging in debates on significant bills.

The Lok Sabha descended into chaos on Wednesday after Opposition members tore up copies of three contentious bills, tabled by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, that seek removal of the Prime Minister and Chief Ministers arrested on serious charges for 30 days.
