New Delhi : PM Narendra Modi on Saturday tore into the Congress and the Left, saying that while they dismiss everything — from Kerala Story to Dhurandhar — as lies, it is they who have “become pros at lying. Further sharpening his attack on the Opposition, Modi said the Congress and the Left had become a “factory of lies,” accusing them of spreading panic over recent amendments to the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) and the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
These days, they are spreading lies about the FCRA and UCC. Goa has had a UCC for decades, but they are spreading lies about it. They also did the same with the CAA. PM Modi also accused the party of endangering the lives of nearly one crore Indian migrants living in Iran and Gulf countries by making “provocative” remarks at home. Addressing a public meeting, PM Modi claimed that the Congress is willing to jeopardise the safety of these migrants for electoral gains and criticised the party for provoking tensions in West Asia.
He pointed out that Indian fishermen from Tamil Nadu, Goa, Kerala, Telangana, and Puducherry working in Iran are currently at risk. The government is actively engaged in rescuing them, with hundreds already returning safely to India. “Their lives are precious to us,” he added, urging the Congress to apologise to the people of Kerala for what he termed as selfish politics. At the same rally, the Prime Minister further alleged that the Congress wants West Asian countries to view India as an adversary.
PM Modi accused the party of spreading panic and creating opportunities to criticise his leadership.
