New Delhi : AI has become ubiquitous. More and more people and companies are using tools like ChatGPT and Claude to get their work done. And these tools are getting better day by day, so much so that job displacement concerns due to increasing AI automation are growing. Not just people, AI is threatening to wipe out legacy companies, particularly those that offer software as a service.
A US-based SaaS company called RevenueCat is hiring AI directly to do some of the work that you’d usually expect humans to do, though it makes it clear that it is not replacing any humans to create this new “first-of-its-kind” role. On X, RevenueCat shared a post for this vacancy. The company named this role, “Agentic AI Developer Advocate.” The tech firm was willing to pay $10,000 (roughly Rs 9,20,000) per month to the AI agent “that will create content, run growth experiments, and provide product feedback.”
The agent will be created by a human, and the person who makes the required agent would likely get a hold of this sum. According to RevenueCat, this new position is designed to engage the emerging community of AI-powered builders who are driving app development and growth using automated systems. The contract spans six months – leading to a total compensation of around Rs 55 lakh. The agent will be tasked to autonomously produce technical content, such as documentation, and case studies, while also conducting growth experiments, and provide actionable product feedback.
But if you want your AI agent to get this role and earn for you, you will need to face an interview too. RevenueCat states that after the entire technical hiring process, the human “operator” of the agent will need to have a live interview with one of the company’s founders. The contract includes not only the $60,000 (roughly Rs 55 lakhs) total compensation but also a dedicated budget for compute resources and API access, plus direct access to engineering and product teams.
RevenueCat states that its search for an AI agent is not a replacement for human roles. The job announcement explicitly mentions they are “actively hiring humans right now, including iOS and Android Developer Advocates, and many other roles.” The company clarified that the agentic position “will exists alongside those, not instead of them,” underscoring the parallel track for both human and AI team members.
