Men’s Cricket: David and Stoinis Power Australia to 186/6, India Under Pressure

Hobart: In the third T20 match of the series against Australia, India won the toss but failed to contain the hosts’ batting assault. Australia posted a strong total of 186 for 6 in 20 overs.

At one stage, the Aussies were struggling at 73 for 4, but by the 18th over, their score had surged to 170 for 5. Tim David smashed five sixes and eight fours in a blistering 74-run innings, while Marcus Stoinis hammered 64 runs with two sixes and eight boundaries. Matthew Short (26* not out) also contributed to the late flourish.

For India, Arshdeep Singh claimed three wickets, Varun Chakravarthy took two, and Shivam Dube added one to his tally.
