New Chandigarh: Veteran cricketer Virat Kohli is as aggressive on the field as he is capable of being playful and relaxed at times. A glimpse of his fun side was seen here in Mullanpur on Saturday during the final ODI of the series against the West Indies, when he spent a few moments teaching Yashasvi Jaiswal some dance moves.
Kohli was dismissed for a duck in Saturday’s final match, while he could score only 29 runs in the second ODI two days earlier. However, his unbeaten 139 in the opening match in Thiruvananthapuram played a major role in India’s victory. Despite not having a great batting outing in the final two matches, Kohli’s mere presence in the team remains a big factor, and India eventually won the series 2-1.
During the third ODI on Saturday, Kohli was standing with his Indian teammates on the field when he got into a playful mood and began teaching Yashasvi Jaiswal a few dance steps. Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja, who were standing nearby, could not stop laughing after seeing Kohli in this avatar. Their laughter seemed to encourage Kohli even more, and he continued giving Jaiswal a brief dance lesson in his own signature style. Jaiswal quickly picked up the moves.
Kohli and Jaiswal themselves also burst out laughing. The entire episode was captured on camera and soon went viral on social media. Dancing on the field is nothing new for Kohli, who has entertained his teammates and spectators with his dance moves on several occasions in the past.
