Samson, Kishan, Shreyas and Tilak Unleash a Batting Blitz as India Set West Indies a 250-Run Target

Ranchi: India set West Indies a target of 250 runs to win the second T20 International here on Friday. After a 97-run partnership between Sanju Samson (82 off 41 balls, including four sixes and nine fours) and Ishan Kishan (43 off 22 balls, including two sixes and six fours), captain Shreyas Iyer (40 off 18 balls, with three sixes and three fours) and Tilak Varma (44 not out off 18 balls, including three sixes and three fours) added 83 runs for the fifth wicket to power India to a massive total of 249/5.
Shreyas was dismissed off the second-last ball of the innings, and Naman Dhir struck a four off the final delivery to leave Shai Hope’s team with a target of exactly 250 runs.

Roston Chase claimed three wickets, while Shamar Springer picked up two. Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for just 20 runs, but the batters who followed put the Caribbean side under immense pressure. Shivam Dube also departed after scoring just seven runs.
