The iPhone Air, Apple’s thinnest smartphone at 5.6mm, boasts a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and a titanium frame protected by Ceramic Shield. Powered by the A19 Pro chip, it matches the processing power of the Pro models. It includes a 48MP Fusion camera with a 12MP telephoto lens, an 18MP Center Stage selfie camera, and supports simultaneous front and rear video recording. The device features the N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread connectivity, with an e-SIM-only design globally to optimize battery space, offering up to 40 hours of video playback. Available in black, white, beige, and light blue, pre-orders begin September 12, with sales starting September 19.
The iPhone 17, with a 6.3-inch display, also features a 120Hz refresh rate and a brighter Ceramic Shield 2 screen reaching 3,000 nits. Powered by the A19 chip, it supports advanced AI features and includes a dual 48MP Fusion camera system with a 2x telephoto lens. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max revert to an aluminum frame, enhancing durability, and feature three 48MP cameras, including a tetraprism telephoto lens with 8x zoom. In India, the iPhone 17 base model pricing is reduced compared to last year’s iPhone 16, while Pro models see a Rs 5,000 increase, with the iPhone 17 Pro Max 2TB priced at Rs 2,29,900.
