Ahmedabad Traffic Cop Slaps Woman After ID Card Falls, Victim Alleges Police Threatened Her

Ahmedabad : Last week, police officers involved in an incident of beating a vehicle driver. After that, another incident has come to light. When a woman dropped a police ID card, the police officer slapped her. The woman was slapped so severely that blood started coming from her eye. Bansari Thakkar, a woman residing in Vasana, was crossing the four-way signal yesterday (December 19) at 6:30 PM.

When Bansariben requested to stand aside, the traffic police officer got agitated and Bansiben was speaking in a loud voice, so Bansariben asked why are you talking like this if you are police? When asked to show ID, the police officer provided it, and as Bansariben was returning it back, the ID fell down. When the ID fell down, the police officer got angry and in rage pulled Bansariben’s hand and started kicking her vehicle while saying pick up the card and give it.

The police officer behaved indecently and used abusive language. Not only that, the police officer continuously slapped Bansariben, which caused bleeding from her eyes. She also suffered injuries to her ears and cheeks, due to which she called 112 in panic. Subsequently, when she went to make a representation before the female officer at Paldi Police Station to file a complaint, the female PI also threatened her with a cross-complaint and sent her away. when a woman dropped a police ID card, the police officer slapped her.

Regarding this, Paldi Police Station PI M.N. Parevada stated that since this was a traffic-related issue, they were asked to file the complaint at the traffic police station and cross-complaints were suggested because there were clashes on both occasions.
