The rival Nationalist Congress Party faction’s desire to tie up with political strategist Prashant Kishor is an internal matter, according to NCP (SP) working president Supriya Sule on Saturday.
“Prashant Kishor has been a good personal friend of mine for several years,” she stated, adding that he recently won a “very big battle” in the Bankipur assembly by-election in Bihar. The Baramati MP told reporters, “I have kept a close eye on his work and I have never concealed our friendship.”
However, he works independently in his professional capacity, and he made the choice of who he wanted to collaborate with, she stated.
“Whether the NCP wants to work with Prashant Kishor or not is their internal matter,” Sule said. Kishor met Sunetra Pawar, the head of the Nationalist Congress Party and the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, along with her son, MP Parth Pawar, earlier this week.
Sule, on the other hand, commended Kishor for his political efforts in Bihar, claiming that despite the BJP’s powerful political apparatus, he prevailed in a “very big battle” in Bankipur. According to data, the BJP did poorly even at “the booth of its national president” (where Nitin Nabin is registered to vote), she said.
“We ought to be grateful to Prashant Kishor in light of this circumstance. He has worked with multiple political parties over the years and is a diligent worker,” she said.
“If we had been in power from the local level to Delhi, and if there had been a negative result in our own booth in Katewadi in Baramati, I would have felt that something was seriously wrong with me,” she stated.
