Mumbaikars : Mega block to affect local train commuters this weekend!

Mumbai’s western line commuters should brace for the disruptions this weekend as a mega block is set to impact the key routes and train schedules. The western railway committee has announced that there will be a block between grant road and Mumbai central stations on the dates of 1st March that is Saturday and 2nd March that is on Sunday.

The reason behind the mega block is that they are going to carry out the re-girdering work of Bridge No.5. The mega block is going to last for 13 hours and on both UP and DOWN Fast lines between Grant Road and Mumbai Central Station from 22.00 hrs to 11.00 hrs on Saturday/Sunday.

According to the report, Shri Vineet Abhishek had issued by Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway. At the time of the block all UP and DOWN Fast line trains will be operated on Slow lines between Churchgate and Mumbai Central Stations. Some suburban trains will remain canceled during the block and some Churchgate trains will be short terminated/reversed from Bandra/Dadar station.
