Mumbai Megablock To disrupt Western, Central And Harbour lines

Mumbai : Mumbai commuters are likely to face inconvenience due to a scheduled megablock on the suburban railway network , impacting the Western , Central and Harbour lines. The block has been planned to carry out essential maintenance work , including repairs to tracks , signaling systems and overheard equipment.
On the Central railway , some fast trains will be diverted to slow tracks during the block period , leading to delays in services. Meanwhile , on the Harbour line , a major disruption is expected between Kurla and Vashi , where several local train services will remain suspended for a few hours . As a result , trains running between CSMT and Panvel/Belapur/Vashi will not operate during the affected time window.

To ease passenger inconvenience, railway authorities have arranged special train services on select routes. Additionally , commuters on the Harbour line will be to travel via alternative routes as Thane-Vashi/Nerul.
The western railway will also experience disruptions, with certain services either being delayed, diverted or cancelled depending on the maintenance schedule. Overall, the mega block is expected to impact the regular timetable of local trains across the city.
