Audit Of All Hoardings In Mumbai To Be Completed In Three Months Says Minister Uday Samant

Mumbai: The hoarding at the Mulund toll plaza belongs to the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC). MSRDC had granted permission to an agency to install the hoarding on the condition that approval would be obtained from the municipal corporation. However, since the concerned agency installed the hoarding without obtaining the required permission from the municipal corporation, action has been taken against them.
Minister Uday Samant, while addressing the Question Hour in the Legislative Assembly, stated that a comprehensive audit of all hoardings in Mumbai will be completed within three months, and the report will be presented in the next assembly session. This issue was raised by MLA Amit Satam, while MLAs Yogesh Sagar and Parag Alavani asked supplementary questions.
Minister Samant clarified that MSRDC had installed the hoardings through a tender process. However, when the municipal corporation inspected the hoardings, it was found that they were installed without the necessary approval. As a result, the advertisements displayed on the hoardings were immediately removed. He further stated that no information will be displayed on the hoardings at the Mulund toll plaza without municipal corporation approval, and strict action will be taken against contractors who violate these regulations.
