Akshay Kumar’s Convoy Escort Vehicle Crashes in Mumbai, Two Injured | VIDEO
Mumbai: An escort vehicle from the convoy of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar was involved in a road accident in Mumbai on Monday night, leaving at least two people injured, police officials said. The incident occurred near the actor’s residence in the Juhu area, though Kumar was not present in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
According to preliminary information, the accident took place around 9 pm when an autorickshaw was allegedly hit by a speeding car, following which it collided with the escort vehicle that was part of Kumar’s convoy. The impact caused the escort car to overturn on the road.
Police teams reached the spot soon after the accident and carried out rescue operations. The damaged vehicle was removed to clear traffic, and the injured persons were shifted to a hospital for medical treatment. Their condition was not immediately disclosed.
A video of the accident has since surfaced on social media, showing the overturned convoy vehicle as officials and emergency responders attend to the scene. Authorities are examining the circumstances that led to the collision.
Reports indicated that Twinkle Khanna, Kumar’s wife, was travelling from the Mumbai airport towards their residence around the same time, though the actor himself was not inside the escort vehicle when the accident occurred.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Kumar was last seen in Jolly LLB 3, where he portrayed Advocate Jagdishwar “Jolly” Mishra. His upcoming projects include Bhoot Bangla, Kannappa, Welcome to the Jungle, Haiwaan and Hera Pheri 3.
Earlier this month, the actor and Khanna marked their 25th wedding anniversary, which they acknowledged through posts on social media.
