‘We Got Fake Pizza Hut Before GTA 6’: Pakistan’s Defense Minister Gets Trolled In Social Media For Inaugurating Fake Pizza Hut
New Delhi: Yet again Pakistan never fails to impress netizens by setting up new heights of embarrassment for itself. From making fake claims to now inaugurating a bogus food chain popular amongst the youth- Pizza Hut !
A viral video has been doing rounds on social media regarding Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khwaja Asif inaugurating a famous brand store Pizza Hut in Sialkot Cantonment. Initially the high profile ceremony didn’t spark any controversy until it came under social media scrutiny after which the original US-based food chain issued an official statement calling the outlet “unauthorised” and denying any links to it.

The food giant clearly mentioned that the outlet at Sialkot Cantonment is falsely making use of it’s name and therefore has been reported to the specific authorities for an immediate action.
“Public Notice: Pizza Hut Pakistan would like to notify our esteemed patrons about the opening of an unauthorized location in Sialkot cantonment that is using the Pizza Hut name and trademark without authorization. This location does not adhere to Pizza Hut International recipes, quality standards, or food safety regulations, nor is it connected to Yum! Brands or Pizza Hut Pakistan. The food chain posted on social media, “We have formally reported this matter to the relevant authorities for immediate action.” Pizza Hut’s parent business is Yum! Brands, a significant American international fast-food giant.
The company Pizza Hut Pakistan stated that it currently operates 16 official stores nationwide wherein 14 are operational in Lahore and 2 in Islamabad.

How did the netizens react ? “We got a fake pizza hut before GTA 6,” joked one user on Pizza Hut Pakistan’s statement on Instagram while the other user said “Just imagine the quality of information @KhawajaMAsif has as the defense minister of Pakistan.” Netizens trolled this viral post on X too by saying,” Full marks to the Sialkoti who brought this awesome beizzatti to the greatest boot licker made in Sialkot (sic)”.
