Dubai Rocked By 7 Blasts In 20 Minutes

Videos of explosions in Dubai’s Jebel Ali industrial region have been shared on social media, with the night sky covered with dense smoke. Iran’s Mehr news agency said that at least seven explosions happened in 20 minutes, citing Emirati officials.

Two persons have been arrested for recording the incident, according to the report. Whether the occurrence was the consequence of an industrial accident or an attack is yet unknown.

In the midst of the ongoing US-Iran conflict, Iraqi news sites have reported that a missile attack was launched from Yemen against the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The reason of the explosion, however, has not been officially reported by the Emirati media.

Meanwhile, a fire broke out at a warehouse next to the port that was utilized for fuel storage and transfer, according to the NASA thermal imagery data that Mehr quoted. There were no immediate casualty or damage reports from the incident.

Videos that surfaced on social media seem to depict the bombs’ aftermath, with black smoke erupting in the night sky close to a residential area. Additionally, locals in neighboring Al Furjan told AOL news that they heard “thuds” at the same time as the explosions were reported. One of the most important shopping destinations in the UAE is Jebel Ali, which is around 25 miles southwest of Dubai’s city center.

The artificial archipelago of Palm Jebel Ali and a free trade zone adjacent to the largest man-made harbor in the world allow for unrestricted international commerce.

Due to Tehran’s many retaliation attacks on US allies in the region, the UAE has remained on high alert during the US-Iran War.
