Seoul: BTS member RM has suffered an ankle injury during rehearsals, just two days ahead of the group’s highly anticipated comeback live event, Big Hit Music announced on March 20.
The injury occurred on March 19 while RM was preparing for the performance. He was promptly taken to a hospital for a thorough examination and treatment. Medical professionals diagnosed him with a sprain of the accessory navicular, a partial ligament tear, and a talus contusion, which includes ligament damage and inflammation.
Doctors have recommended that RM wear a cast and strictly limit movement for at least two weeks to prioritize recovery and avoid aggravating the condition.
Despite the setback, RM has shown strong determination to participate in the upcoming show. Big Hit Music stated that, after close consultation with the artist and following medical guidance, the decision has been made to restrict his on-stage activities. RM will still appear during the performance and interact with fans, but certain choreography and movements will be limited to prevent further strain.
