Global supergroup BTS has disclosed the complete tracklist for their fifth full-length studio album, ARIRANG, scheduled for release on March 20. Drawing its name from the traditional Korean folk song “Arirang”—a timeless emblem of longing and endurance—the project marks a meaningful return to cultural roots while embracing fresh sonic directions amid the group’s post-reunion phase.
The 14-track collection opens with “Body to Body,” followed by “Hooligan,” “Aliens,” “FYA,” and “2.0.” An interlude titled “No. 29” serves as a reflective midpoint, leading into the lead single “SWIM.” The lineup continues with “Merry Go Round,” “NORMAL,” “Like Animals,” “they don’t know ’bout us,” “One More Night,” “Please,” and concludes on an uplifting note with “Into the Sun.”
Consistent with BTS’s established practice of creative involvement, the seven members—RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook—have played active roles in songwriting and production. RM receives credits on all but the interlude, solidifying his position as the group’s primary lyricist. SUGA and j-hope feature prominently across several tracks, including “Body to Body,” “Merry Go Round,” and “NORMAL.” Jimin contributes to “they don’t know ’bout us” and “Into the Sun,” V to “2.0” and the closer, while Jung Kook is involved in four songs, among them “Hooligan.”
The lead single “SWIM,” with RM spearheading the lyrics, employs water as a metaphor for life’s challenges. Rather than resisting the currents, the song advocates pressing forward at one’s own rhythm, framing perseverance as a form of self-compassion and resilience.

The album boasts an impressive array of international collaborators, including producers and songwriters such as Mike WiLL Made-It, Flume, El Guincho, JPEGMAFIA, Diplo, and Ryan Tedder. This blend of experimental, electronic, and mainstream influences suggests a culturally expansive sound that aligns with BTS’s history of bridging diverse musical worlds.
Since their 2013 debut, BTS has evolved from emerging Korean artists into worldwide icons, amassing multiple Billboard No. 1 hits, stadium-filling tours, five Grammy nominations, and influential initiatives like their United Nations “Speak Yourself” address and the LOVE MYSELF campaign. ARIRANG arrives at a key juncture, with a major world tour planned in its wake. The album will drop worldwide on streaming services on March 20.
