Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Monday dismissed rumors about UBT MPs leaving the party to join rival Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena. These rumors came amid the absence of several UBT MP’s in the party meeting held on Sunday.

“Omprakash Raje Nimbalkar’s son is in the hospital, Bhausaheb Wakchaure’s spouse is sick. We discussed with them and they agreed to be present through video conference. Sanjay Jadhav will come to meet Mr. Thackeray in two days.”

Operation Tiger

According to the Shinde faction, 7 MPs from the UBT side are ready to switch alliances, with 16 more in contact. After a similar situation in Bengal were Trinamool MPs, switches sides, something similar might be visible here, strengthening the NDA’s numbers before the monsoon session.

Raut dismissed these claims, that they’ll lauch their own ‘Operation Wolf’ to counter the double engine governments MP poaching scheme.

“All the MPs are with us and will be present at the foundation day of undivided Shiv Sena on June 19,”, said Raut.
