Following the third round of negotiations with the Center, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) decided on Saturday, July 25, 2026, to call off the protest after the Modi-led government agreed to their requests.
Ashutosh Ranka, national spokesperson for the Cockroach Janta Party, stated, “We held three rounds of discussions with the government delegation,” during a joint press conference with Union Ministers Jitendra Singh and J.P. Nadda. Three key demands were made during our multi-day protest at Jantar Mantar: Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, the withdrawal of all FIRs filed against demonstrators and organizers, and the prohibition against filing any more charges against them. Our final demand was ₹1 crore in compensation for the families who lost loved ones as a result of the NEET paper not being held. Dharmendra Pradhan resigned not too long ago. This indicates that our initial request has been granted.
“Our second demand was that all the FIRs filed against the protesters, not just in Delhi but in all BJP-ruled and BJP-allied States should be withdrawn,” stated Saurav Das, another CJP member. This was our second requirement as well. That demand has also been approved by the government.
“The retreat will be completed soon. According to our most recent information, 15 to 20 FIRs were filed in Delhi. The government has promised to release copies of all the FIRs that have been filed, and we will receive those copies within three to four days. Additionally, the government has promised that the withdrawal will happen soon.In light of this, we have given the government a draft of a formal assurance. According to the government, this will be shared with us by Tuesday. We’re hoping to have the government’s assurances about these FIRs and any further action by Tuesday,” he continued.
“All our demands have been accepted, so we request the protesters to withdraw immediately and return home peacefully,” Mr. Ranka continued. We’ll let you know about any other concerns or our future plan. However, we ask that the demonstrators leave right now.
