New Delhi : Calling Union Budget 2026 “historic” and future-oriented, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the government’s latest financial blueprint reflects the empowered presence of the nation’s feminine strength. The Prime Minister said the document strengthens the reform process and offers a clear roadmap for a developed India by 2047.
This Budget is a strong foundation for the flight to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. This Budget will provide fresh energy and speed to the ‘reform express’ on which India is riding today. The 140 crore citizens of India are not satisfied with being the fastest-growing economy; we want to become the world’s third-largest economy as soon as possible,” he said. Among the key sectoral announcements, the Budget has placed strong emphasis on the creative economy. The government said India’s Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics sector is projected to require nearly 2 million professionals by 2030. To support this growing industry, the Finance Minister proposed setting up AVGC Content Creator Labs in 15,000 secondary schools and 500 colleges with support from the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies, Mumbai.
