Karnataka Man Hangs Wife Over Suspicion Of An Affair, Video Calls Her Parents To Show Her Dying

After suspecting his 23-year-old wife of having an affair, the man hanged her to death. According to reports, the man shared a video of his wife’s struggles with friends and family. In order to demonstrate their daughter’s powerlessness, he also made a video call to her parents.

Bhagyashree Jigalur has been identified as the victim, and Praveen Jigalur as the accused. The incident happened on Sunday night in the Bagalkot district of Karnataka.

At their home in Galagali village, Praveen allegedly beat his wife with a wooden log before hanging her, according to the preliminary investigation.

Police claim that Praveen filmed his wife battling to survive after she was hanged. Additionally, he allegedly forced her parents to see their daughter die by making a video call to them while she was struggling to breathe. According to the authorities, he subsequently shared the footage with multiple people.

About two months ago, Bhagyashree moved in with her parents after leaving her married house due to frequent disagreements. According to reports, Praveen had persuaded her to come back by promising them a peaceful life. But after going home that same evening, she was reportedly murdered.

Bhagyashree can be seen hanging from a green dupatta in a video of the incident. She finds it difficult to land on the double bed. Behind her, one can see the couple’s names engraved on the wall of their bedroom during their wedding.

Soon after learning of the crime, Bilagi police arrived at the location and began their investigation.

Additional investigation is under progress, and the accused has been taken into custody.

The circumstances leading up to the alleged murder are being investigated by police.
